Bertinas B&B

comfort and tranquility

Bertinas B&B is found in the heart of the village of San Lawrenz in Gozo. This area is particularly popular for cycling, diving and walking and offers breath-taking views. We have 3 bedrooms – 1 family room which can accommodate up to 4 guests, 1 double and 1 twin room. You can also choose from three new modern double bedrooms as seen on our website. We provide continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast on request at an extra cost. Residents can use the swimming pool and we are happy to help in any way we can, for you to experience a nice stay at Bertinas and Gozo.

Gozo is more rural than the main island of Malta and is known for its scenic hills. San Lawrenz was very popular for the Azure Window, a natural limestone arch, until its collapse in 2017. Other natural features are the inland sea, the General’s Rock and the remarkable geological features in this area.

San Lawrenz is also a top destination for diving in the Mediterranean Sea surrounding Gozo. There are many beaches on the island as well as seaside resorts which are equally popular with both locals and tourists.

One can also hire a boat for sail around the island which makes a lovely day out. Gozo is also rich in historical locations such as the Ggantija Temples, Ninu’s Cave & Calypso Cave.

The most famous church to be found on the island is the Sanctuary of Ta’ Pinu which is within walking distance from Bertinas B&B. Another attraction which is also within walking distance from the hotel is Ta’ Dbiegi Craft Village. Here is where locals sell locally manufactured glass, lace, leather goods and metal souvenirs as well as lovely handmade jewellery. We recommend you visit this place since it is a great spot to stop for some shopping and lunch.

If you are looking for a nice beach, Ramla Bay is a lovely red sandy beach. Another must-visit is of course Gozo’s capital city, Victoria, known as Rabat to the locals. Victoria is only 10 minutes away from Bertinas by bus. Citadel (Cittadella) is a top attraction to visit in the only city of Gozo.

We look forward to welcoming you all.
